About Binary Impulse

Binary Impulse is a project maintained by a small group of technology enthusiasts and IT professionals.  The project was created as a forum to provide our code and solutions to the world and to give back to the Internet community.

Binary Impulse also has a sister site, called BashBytes, where smaller articles and code snips can be found!

The project was inspired by Dan Kane and Kirk Schnable, who often found themselves spending several hours to figure out a simple solution to a problem… then found themselves frustrated that someone on the Internet hadn’t already posted the solution.  Eventually, they decided it was time to take matters into their own hands, and start posting their solutions!

If you find a post useful, feel free to use the permalink or the social sharing widget on each post to share the post.  Please feel free and encouraged to comment on our posts, whether your comments be compliments, complaints, or questions; we’d be happy to hear from you!

When reading our articles and material, please remember that our individual opinions are our own and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of all Binary Impulse writers, their respective employers, or other entities affiliated with this site.

All instructions posted on this website are for informational purposes only, and come with no warranties expressed or implied.  Always use your best judgement when running commands sourced from the Internet, and remember that some commands modify your system in ways that are difficult to reverse.
